API Playground Quick Start: Send Data to Any Screen in 2 Minutes
Push To Display's API Playground lets you send pre-built messages to a live display board without writing any code. This walkthrough shows the entire flow — from sign-in to content appearing on an iPad — in under two minutes.
What's covered
- Sign in on the device — Open the Push To Display app on an iPad and log in. The device is now listening for updates.
- Sign in to the web portal — Log in to the admin dashboard at pushtodisplay.com.
- Create an API key — Generate a key from the portal to authenticate API requests.
- Open the Playground — The Playground has pre-built message templates ready to send.
- Send a message — Pick a template, hit send, and watch the content appear on the iPad in real time.
Try it yourself
- Download the app on iOS or Android.
- Sign in — your first board is created automatically.
- Open the web portal and head to the Playground.
What's next?
- Ready to send from code? See the Quickstart guide for cURL, CLI, Python, Node.js, and C# examples.
